چکیده

The next generation of green ion selective membranes is foreseen to be based on cellulosic nanomaterials with controllable properties. introduction ionic groups into the cellulose structure via chemical modification one strategy obtain desired functionalities. In this work, bleached softwood fibers are oxidatively sulfonated and thereafter homogenized liberate nanofibrils (CNFs) from fiber walls. liberated CNFs subsequently used prepare characterize novel membranes. It found that degree sulfonation collectively affects several important properties density fixed charged surfaces CNFs, in particular membrane morphology, water uptake swelling, correspondingly transport. Both conductivity cation transport increase increased level starting material. Thus, it shown can as a tool for precise rational design replace expensive conventional fluorinated ionomer

Improving the Proton Conductivity and Antibacterial Properties of Sulfonated Polybenzimidazole/ZnO/Cellulose with Surface Functionalized Cellulose/ZnO Bionanocomposites

New bionanocomposite proton exchange membranes were prepared from sulfonated polybenzimidazole (s-PBI) and various amounts of sulfonated ZnO/cellulose nanohybrids (ZnO/cellulose-SO3H). The use of ZnO/cellulose-SO3H compensates for the decrease in ion exchange capacity of membranes observed when non-sulfonated nano-fillers are utilized. The strong –SO3H/–SO<su...

Structure and physicochemical properties of nitrogenated derivatives of cellulose

Nitrogenated derivatives of cellulose, and namely chitin and chitosan, are of commercial interest because of their antibacterial activity, biocompatibility, biodegradability and sorption ability. Structure and some physicochemical properties of these derivatives have been studied by methods of wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS), microcalorimetry and sorption. To determine the crystallinity degr...
